I also wasn't surprised by the Du Tertre but the Montelena was a major shock. If you organize the next tasting in Madrid I'll get the crew to fly over.

Not surprised the Du Tertre did well--one of my favorite "value" Margauxs that just keeps getting better and better, even from a relatively modest/easy-drinking vintage like '02. Surprised the '97 Montelena did so poorly. Great vintage, great critics. Maybe it's not holding up so well? Wish I could have been there... thanks for the write-up!
